Description

The Crede 1542 is named for the clay soil in the base of the wines from the cru of Valdobbiadene

and the current generation still does it the slow way: heirloom apples from high-trunk (hautes-tiges) trees

which is exactly why this bottle is a nice surprise: a Sauvignon Blanc from a house that could easily coast on Cabernet

This vintage offers a refined balance of ripe dark fruit

Waits-Mast Mendocino County Pinot Noir 2022 NET The Crede 1542 is namedFrom the producer: Our 2022 Mendocino County Pinot Noir bottling brings together two different single vineyard wines, Filigreen Farm and Oppenlander. Filigreen Farm lies in the Valley, just west of Boonville and sees large diurnal shifts throughout the summer as fog rolls in to cool down the hot valley. Oppenlander brings a coastal minerality and extended hang time due to its northwest location outside the valley and closer to the Mendocino coast.
